Capital International Airport (PEK) is located seventeen miles (twenty-eight
kilometres) northeast of Beijing city centre. A two-terminal airport (though
one is currently closed for renovation), Capital International Airport,
Beijing, is a busy international hub and so handles many international
and short-haul flights via most major airlines.
Capital International Airport, Beijing, has excellent customer facilities.
These include cash machines (ATMs), bureau de change areas, a fully operational
bank and postal services. There are also a number of caf?s and restaurants
at the airport, as well as a tempting shopping area that includes duty-free.
In addition, for the business traveler, Capital International Airport,
Beijing, has its own business and conference center.
At the present time, self-drive cars are not available in China. However,
cars with a driver are available and these can be rented on a daily or
weekly basis. Help an advice on this can be sought at the Passenger Information
area at PEK.
Capital International Airport, Beijing, has a multi-storey car park that
is usually sufficient with enough spaces to accommodate passenger numbers.
